I use three metrics/analytics applications (C-Panel‘s Awstats, Analog Stats and Webalizer) to see how many people visit my website over a month or so. Other than any communication you initiate with me I don’t track further information however Awstats and Webalizer automatically record your IP address and Analog Stats and Webalizer automatically record the ‘referrer’ (the website or webpage you visited prior to visiting this website). In addition the application I use (CaptainForm) to manage information submitted on a form also records and associates your IP address and browser type with your submission.
When you visit my website its server temporarily saves a ‘session id(s)/cookie(s)’ on your device’s hard drive.
